Legal researcher employment law
Kelly already knew from a young age that she wanted to study law. The university of applied sciences degree programme in law was not enough for her, she wanted to study law more in-depth, knowing what is the reason behind laws and regulations, and how this is developing through the years. That is why she started with the law degree programme of Erasmus University Rotterdam, followed by a master’s degree in employment law at the University of Amsterdam. Kelly chose employment law because of the special relationship between employers and employees.
Kelly joined Maes Law as a legal researcher in November 2021. In addition to her studies, she supports the employment law practice group in Amsterdam. No legal issue is the same, which triggers Kelly to find the desired solution time and again through her eye for detail and her critical attitude. In doing so, it is important to her that she translates the answer to a legal question to a realistic and understandable solution for those seeking justice. In addition to her studies and work at Maes Law, Kelly is also an external board member of ASAR (Amsterdam study society for employment law).
