A. (Alexander) Allwell

Legal intern

Alex is currently studying an LLB(Hons) / Arts at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, with a Major in Political Science. Alex is only 24 years old, but he already has international experience as a legal intern for Driscoll’s Inc. (a major Agricultural company in Watsonville, California), and at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Hague. Besides all this, he has also worked as a political advisor to the Shadow Minister for Counter-Terrorism in the Victorian Parliament in Australia, as well as a Researcher for the Victorian Leader of the Opposition.

Alex was raised in an international environment, and as an expatriate, he has experienced settling in the Netherlands himself. His own experiences are a big driving factor in helping Maes Laws clients with their own migration needs. Working with international clients and gaining experience in the Dutch and European legal systems is what drives Alex. At Maes Law, Alex assists the attorneys with their active cases, he interviews clients for research purposes, and he runs the Anglosphere Business Desk which deals primarily with international, English speaking clients.
